Free Copyediting of 2,500 Words!

At my discretion, I will copyedit up to 2,500 words of your manuscript at no charge or obligation to you. When I return your sample manuscript to you, I will include my evaluation of the type of work your manuscript needs. You can then decide if you would like to hire me to copyedit the rest of your manuscript.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please send an email to me at [email protected] with a brief description of your manuscript. I will reply and let you know if I am available for copyediting.

Why You Should Use a Copyeditor

The job of a copyeditor is not to find errors in analysis, interpretation, methodology, or theory in your manuscript. That is done with a peer review. You should use a copyeditor to help make your manuscript more consistent, readable, and understandable. A copyeditor can:
  • Ensure that every word in your manuscript supports your goals.
  • Proofread your manuscript to make sure the spelling, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, etc., are correct.
  • Ensure that the typeface, spacing, layout, etc., is professional and appeals to the eye of the reader.

Depending on the desired depth of the copyediting you want, here are some additional tasks a copyeditor can do for your manuscript:
  • Ensure the consistency of voice and style.
  • Check each sentence and paragraph for singleness of meaning.
  • Check each sentence and paragraph for logical presentation.
  • Improve the flow and impact from one idea to the next.
  • Replace poor, weak, or incorrect words with better words.
  • Rework the text to ensure it delivers a clear and cohesive message.
  • Suggest changes and inserting comments to draw attention to unclear passages.
  • Check facts.

Your Manuscript

You have a valuable, meaningful manuscript (in audio, handwritten, Word, or PDF form) that you would like to have proofread, copyedited, technical document edited, and/or converted into Word.

You have put countless hours, weeks, months, or even years of hard work and sweat researching, writing, and rewriting your manuscript. I understand how you feel about your manuscript...it is your baby! You are proud of it and you want it to be the very best that it can be. I felt that way about my manuscripts for the 31 years that I was a writer.

I am here to help you perfect your manuscript. I want you to rest confident that your manuscript is the best that it can be.
